Bethesda Health Care is seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our perioperative services.
This opportunity is suited to a Registered Nurse with strong theatre experience who is passionate about clinical excellence, mentoring others, and contributing to high quality patient outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to further develop leadership capability within a supportive and well resourced environment.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager, the Clinical Nurse provides clinical leadership and delivers evidence based perioperative and postoperative nursing care. The position plays a key role in supporting staff development, maintaining clinical standards, and contributing to the efficient operation of theatre services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical duties in the general surgery
- Mentor and guide registered nurses, fostering a collaborative and educational environment
- Contribute to the overall management and efficiency of perioperative services
- Ensure adherence to ACORN Standards and current best practices in nursing
Essential Criteria:
- Registered Nurse qualification with AHPRA registration
- Minimum of 3 years of theatre experience in general surgery
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to act as a resource referral for staff
- Strong teamwork skills with well-developed written and verbal communication, organisation, and time management abilities
- A commitment to continuous professional development
Desirable Criteria:
- Qualifications in the perioperative area
- Knowledge of National Standards and their application in the perioperative area
- Proven skills in planning, policy, and financial management
