Care in the community

Metropolitan Palliative Care Consultancy Service (MPaCCS)

Our team is here to support yours.

MPaCCS is a mobile specialist palliative care team that works collaboratively with General Practitioners and other health professionals to ensure superior outcomes. We focus on building the palliative care workforce through training, education, assistance, and mentoring where there are currently no specialist palliative care consultation services available. MPaCCS can assist the following facilities:

  • Mental health and psycho-geriatric.
  • Residential aged care.
  • Residential disability.
  • Correctional facilities.

Referrals.

MPaCCS operates in a mobile manner and services the north, east and south metropolitan regions. Referrals can be delivered via fax or email. MPaCCS is not a ‘rapid response’ visiting service — we will contact the referring source to plan individually for each patient. Please phone the MPaCCS office if the referral is assessed as ‘urgent’, and we will do our best to accommodate.
