Celebrating 10 Years of Bethesda’s Metropolitan Palliative Care Consultancy Service (MPaCCS)
Bethesda Hospital may be a small surgical and specialist palliative care hospital on the banks of the Swan River in Claremont, but our reach extends far beyond our four walls through Bethesda’s Metropolitan Palliative Care Consultancy Service (MPaCCS).
This year marks the 10th anniversary of MPaCCS, which was established in 2015 to provide mobile palliative care across Perth. To celebrate, we hosted an afternoon tea at Bethesda Hospital on Thursday 4 September, attended by the Minister for Health and Mental Health, the Hon Meredith Hammat.
Minister Hammat congratulated the MPaCCS team on their remarkable contribution to health care across the region, recognising their compassionate care for patients at the end of life and their dedication to upskilling other carers to provide the same high standard of care. She expressed her gratitude for their ongoing commitment to the community.
The anniversary celebration was enjoyed by staff, health care partners, and friends of Bethesda and MPaCCS, marking a decade of excellence in palliative care.
